The Manitoba Occupational Health Nurses Interest Group (MOHNIG ) is an interest group under the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and provides opportunities for nurses:
Ø to become more familiar with the type of nursing skills required and with the varied and unique practice settings Ø to be mentored by current occupational health nurses Ø to provide educational opportunities in existing practice settings Ø to be lobbyists for change to provincial workplace safety and health legislation, to CNA for updates to the certification process, to CRNM on understanding the role differences of nurse practitioners and occupational health nurses. The practice of occupational health nursing is exciting and rewarding. There is an increased need for occupational health nurse specialists throughout Manitoba. |
